Because of Zhao Bing’s words, she knew there was probably a reason why Cheng Yuelin was willing to stay beside her. If it was possible, Ruan Zhiyin was also willing to continue her current life and treat Cheng Yuelin as a family member.

Under the dim light of the doorway, Bai Bo was holding up Cheng Yuelin. The man was leaning against Bai Bo’s shoulder and his eyes were half closed. His body was unstable, and he was covered in the scent of alcohol.

Seeing Ruan Zhiyin furrowing her brows unhappily, Bai Bo quickly said, “Madam, I’m sorry, but Mr. Cheng drank too much tonight and isn’t very sober.”

Ruan Zhiyin gave a slight nod in response and took over supporting Cheng Yuelin. “I’m sorry for the trouble, Bai Bo, it isn’t early anymore, you should hurry up and go back.”

Bai Bo glanced at his boss who was completely drunk and took a breath before nodding and turning to leave.

After closing the door, Ruan Zhiyin helped Cheng Yuelin up the stairs. This was the first time she had seen Cheng Yuelin in such a state; the smell of alcohol on his body was extremely strong.

Frankly speaking, when she saw Cheng Yuelin being supported by Bai Bo earlier, she discovered she did not like him being this drunk.

She did not know where this feeling of wanting to control the other came from.

Ruan Zhiyin barely managed to help this person into his room. Just as she was about to help him into the bed, the drunk person seemed to have a moment of clarity and his arm at her side seemed to look for some support and the two of them fell into a tangle on to the bed.

They fell deeply into the soft mattress and a pair of warm hands circled her waist, transferring their warmth through her thin clothes.

The two were close together, a little too close, and the ambiguous position made Ruan Zhiyin a bit nervous.

She looked up and saw that Cheng Yuelin’s gaze was hazy and unfocused. His eyes were half closed and his eyes looked as though they were covered in a light mist. His clear skin was dyed a light pink and seemed to have lost some of its coldness. She watched his thin lips open and close, and she could feel his warm breath on her forehead.

The man’s smooth silhouette was highlighted in the dim light. His short hair brushed against his eyebrows and his sleepy eyes quietly looked at her.

In a trance, Ruan Zhiyin reached out her hand and lightly brushed her fingertips against his cool lips, thinking that they were amazingly soft.

Suddenly thinking that she had done something wrong, she quickly pulled her fingertips back and pulled off the limp hands around her waist. Standing up in a panic, she looked at the person quietly lying there before she took a deep breath and turned to leave the room.

A few moments later, in the dark, the man’s figure moved slightly, and he slowly opened his eyes.

He stared at the direction she had left in a panic and shook his head helplessly.

A minute later, Ruan Zhiyin returned to her room, but her thoughts were still stuck in the scene just now.

She did not know if she was feeling guilty, but she remembered the last time she had walked into Cheng Yuelin finishing his shower and his accusations.

In an instant, the man’s playful voice was heard in her mind.
