She was walking towards him, a disabled dragon covered in scars, ugly like a dark and wretched mouse.

It was as if her previous hesitations, fears, confusion, and shock were all a pretense.

He could see the hem of her pure white dress, crossing over his discarded scales, being scratched and stained by their sharp and bloodied edges. The world before him gradually shifted, from the gray and hazy sky to the folds of her skirt. Mister Long felt that something was amiss. It seemed like he was about to lose consciousness.

As his body fell, a fleeting glimpse of a pale green bangle crossed his vision, and in the next instant, he felt a soft touch on his arm.

“Good boy,” her voice came to his ears, soft and gentle. “I’m back.”

Mister Long’s eyelashes trembled, and all the indescribable emotions within him dispersed. He seemed to have heard something incredible, and his whole body trembled. His heart was consumed by the desire to drag this person down to hell with him, like an intense darkness that engulfed him entirely.

The fragile façade he had struggled to keep up, like a precarious tower, collapsed the moment she touched him.

In a despicable manner, he followed her lead and collapsed, retracting his sharp claws and transforming them into slender palms that left vivid red marks on her sleeve.

Mu Wanwan took a deep breath, closed her eyes then opened them again,  focusing on his bluish lips. Hurriedly, she retrieved the elixirs she made.

Gently grasping his chin, she parted his lips, and very soon, the dark red blood clots started to emerge. Patting his back, she waited for most of the impurities to be expelled. Then, with trembling hands, she wiped away the stains around his lips and retrieved the Condensed Snow Pills that she had saved for emergencies. She placed one in his mouth and proceeded to feed him several Spirit Retuning Pills.

She then took out the remaining twelve medium-grade spirit stones and carefully embedded them one by one into the grooves on the silver armrests of the wheelchair that were specially designed for putting things in. Watching as one of the spirit stones positioned closest to him slowly shrink, she slowly let out a sigh of relief.

She would feed him the remaining Condensed Snow Pills after two hours, and there should be no major issues then.

A sharp stinging sensation emanated from her ankle, causing Mu Wanwan to wince and fall to the ground. It was only then that she realized she had been scratched by some scales when she entered earlier.

The scales of this dragon were really incredibly tough, and they also seemed to carry a slight trace of toxicity. Otherwise, as a Rank 3 cultivator, she wouldn’t be in so much pain that she couldn’t even stand properly.

Feeling a bit helpless, Mu Wanwan swallowed a Spirit Returning Pill as focused and used her spiritual energy to gradually purge the toxins from her body. Sitting on the ground, she gazed at the tattered light blue silk robe on Mister Long, her emotions in turmoil.
